UAE mortgage document checklist
Use this checklist to prepare for a lender conversation. Tick items locally as you organise them; this page does not upload documents or send your selections.
Identity and income
If you own a business
Once you identify the property
The bank's checklist takes priority
For example, Emirates NBD publishes a six-month bank-statement requirement and asks self-employed applicants for company documents and two years of audited reports. Another lender or a non-resident application may require different evidence. Ask whether overseas documents need translation or certification, and check their permitted age.
Keep sensitive documents in the right channel
Prepare copies for the lender's approved secure submission process. Our general enquiry form is for questions; it is not a mortgage application or document-upload portal. A tick on this checklist confirms only that you have organised an item, not that a bank has accepted it.
Need to plan the sequence? Read pre-approval and final approval. Business owners can also use our self-employed preparation guide.
